Autonomous, Line-Tracking Racecar Project
This project involved the design, construction, and testing of an autonomous, microcomputer-controlled, robotic, line-tracking racecar. The racecar used infrared sensors to detect and follow a line on the floor at the highest possible speed. Both engineering majors and computer science majors were on the design teams. The project resulted in a senior thesis. The project was part of Physics 438, Senior Capstone Engineering Design, taught by Dr. Hiemcke and Dr. Mosiman in the fall of 1998. Depicted is a robotic car made almost entirely of Lego parts.
