Advantages of a Loras Psychology Degree
Undergraduate Degree in Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Loras College offers many of the advantages of a large university department:
Six full-time faculty with diverse interests
A variety of elective and specialty courses (i.e. Child Psychopathology, Cross-cultural Psychology, Clinical Psychopharmacology, Psychology as a Profession)
Good preparation for Graduate programs in Psychology or other Professional schools (law, medicine, physical therapy)
"Hands-on" training provided through research mentoring and a variety of internship/field placements
Opportunities for experiential and interdisciplinary learning
Travel to psychology-related conferences
Two scholarships designated for psychology majors
in a small college setting:
