Second Major Students
Application materials must be on file in the Registrar’s Office at least 10 business days prior to the start of the term in order to be considered for admission for that term.
A person with a bachelor’s degree from Loras College may apply for an additional major, complete the requirements and have that major added to his/her transcript. Students who hold a bachelor’s degree from another college or university may not complete a second major at Loras College, but may seek admission as a Second Degree Student
. Students interested in earning an additional major are encouraged to consult with the Office of Financial Planning regarding financial aid options before registering for classes.
Second major applicants must submit the following materials to the Registrar’s Office:
A completed Loras College Application for a Second Major
Official transcript of any non-Loras coursework
Submit application materials to the Registrar’s Office:
In person: Room 135 Keane Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Second Major requirements:
Be admitted to Loras College
Be accepted as a major by the division
Fulfill all of the requirements for the major.
When second major requirements are completed, the Division Chairperson or the student’s advisor should notify the Registrar’s Office so that the second major can be added to the transcript.
