Brian J. Smith
Brian J. Smith graduated from Loras College in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He went on to obtain an M.B.A. from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois and is also an Alumni of The Harvard Business School in Cambridge, MA, having completed the OPM Program.
Since 2003, Brian has served as CEO and Co-founder of Argent Development Group, a privately held pharmaceutical development company, with offices in Tarrytown, New York and Los Altos, Calif. Brian was co-founder of Manchester Pharmaceuticals in 2009. Brian is on the Board of Directors of several privately held pharmaceutical, drug development and start-up health care companies.
Throughout his career, Brian has been active in several health care and civic associations including the Licensing Executives Society and the National Organization of Rare Diseases, American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, Harvard Alumni Groups, The Chicago Lung Association, Swim Across America.
In addition to the Board of Regents and Executive Committee of Loras College, Brian is on the Board of Trustees of Cristo Rey High School in Brooklyn, New York.
