Few careers have more opportunity for societal impact than those in education. Training students to teach future decision makers is an important discipline that comes highly regarded at Loras. From early childhood to the secondary level, education is an important aspect of society that requires serious professionals.  Not only do Loras students focus on education theory, but they also immerse themselves in practicum experience from day one. Professors model the methods they teach and support students in every way they can. An emphasis in every Loras curriculum, technology plays an undeniable role in preparing students to teach in a modern, electronic classroom and develop meaningful lesson plans relevant to the experience of today’s youth. 

We will  guide you into service opportunities beyond the classroom that help you not only to explore your career choice, but also to develop a sense of social responsibility, ethical development, an awareness of diversity, and personal growth.

Boasting 90% job placement, the Loras Education program offers nearly 50 licensure and endorsement programs including K-12 and secondary programs in twelve content areas, and special education.
