From PowerPoint presentations to movie creations, students use technology to enhance their learning experience. An education major may use Excel to create a lesson for elementary students on how changing the denominator of a fraction affects value. A social work major may create a movie documenting the plight of the homeless. A history major may collaborate with an MIS major to create a web site.
Nearly all of our classrooms are technology enhanced with projectors, video and sound capabilities. All classrooms provide wireless network and Internet accessibility.
Most professors utilize a course management system, called eLearn. This provides a place for faculty to post assignments, grades, office hours, course syllabus. It also provides online guided discussions, online quizzes, and a digital drop box for posting homework assignments.
All students have the opportunity to install Derive for math classes, SPSS for statistics and discipline specific software.
