On Saturday, October 10. 2015, Loras College Dance Marathon will host their 4th annual Color FT5K on Chaplain Schmitt Island in Dubuque, Iowa. With last year’s participation numbers reaching a record high, Loras College Dance Marathon has prepared for a morning full of running, walking, color and laughter all for the kids.
“The Color FT5K is not only a fun event, but it is a day in which the Dubuque community and Loras College have the opportunity to come together and support the local children who benefit from the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital,” said Loras College Dance Marathon Co-President Kelsey Callahan (’16). “We would like to invite the Tri-State community to come run/walk with us for the kids!”
Check-in and registration begin at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 10 a.m. Admission for the Color FT5K is $27 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under, with all proceeds benefitting the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. Donations will fund activities and rooms at the new University of Iowa Children’s Hospital, projected to be completed in July 2016.

About Dance Marathon
Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement involving college and high school students at more than 250 schools across the country, all raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their community. These students spend a year learning invaluable leadership and life skills while raising funds and interacting with children’s hospital patients and families. The year culminates with a 12-40 hour long event where the students stay on their feet through dancing, games and entertainment in celebration of the total amount raised that year.
