DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College sport management program has finished first at the 14th Annual Sport Marketing Association (SMA) Conference academic case study competition. This is the college’s unprecedented fourth consecutive championship and the program’s 10th this decade.
“We are extremely proud of the efforts of our students who refused to lose and earned their place in the program’s history,” said Matt Garrett, professor of sport management. “These successes have been instrumental in our program’s ability to initiate relationships with national entities such as the Missouri Valley Conference and the Chicago Blackhawks.”
The first-place team included Dannon Anderson, senior, Nevada, Iowa; Aaron Broege, junior, Waukesha, Wisconsin; Jessica Dickhut, Appleton, Wisconsin; Zach Roberts, sophomore; Perry; and Megan Tews, senior, Plainfield, Illinois.
