Bringing CAATE 2020 Standards to Your Clinical Practice
Loras College is pleased to offer quarterly continuing education courses for certified athletic trainers and athletic training students in the tri-state region. These courses address practice gaps from CAATE 2020 standards to clinical practice and include courses across the following domains:
- Injury and Illness Prevention and Wellness Promotion
- Examination, Assessment, and Diagnosis
- Immediate and Emergency Care
- Therapeutic Intervention
- Healthcare Administration and Professional Responsibility
Each course will have learning objectives, educational materials, and an assessment to verify student learning. Individuals will also have the opportunity to provide feedback about the course and offer suggestions for future course offerings.
The Athletic Training Continuing Education courses are $100 each for non-Loras affiliates and will be offered free to Loras College preceptors of the Master’s of Athletic Training Program.

Loras College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The Loras College Athletic Training program is also accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Additionally, Loras is approved for Category A Continuing Education Units for Athletic Trainers through the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (BOC).
