A new chapter begins at Loras College as Chad Fenwick has been named the next Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach, Director of AthleticsDenise Udelhofen (’90 MA ’92) recently announced.
“I am excited for Chad to join our athletic staff,” Udelhofen said. “He has a proven history of success with both men’s and women’s tennis programs, which starts with recruiting quality student-athletes. As a department, this hiring allows us to have a coach on campus that can lead and mentor our tennis student-athletes throughout their Loras career.”
Fenwick comes to Loras from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa where he was the Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach since the 2010-11 season. He will become the first combined head coach in program history. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Fenwick will also serve as the assistant equipment manager with Jeff Kilburg.
“I’m really excited to have the opportunity to lead the Loras tennis program,” Fenwick said. “I believe that both the men’s and women’s programs have potential to be successful. I am looking forward to working with the Loras student-athletes, with the hopes of building both programs into Iowa Conference contenders.”
In five seasons at Ashford, Fenwick compiled a career record of 97-46-1, including a 15-1 mark with his men’s team and a 12-5 mark with his women’s team this past season.
