Celebrate the Christmas season with Loras College

DUBUQUE, Iowa – In celebration of the Christmas season, Loras College will host a series of events for the whole family Monday, Nov. 28 through Saturday, Dec. 10. From a formal musical celebration to a fair trade holiday sale and a “live” radio broadcast from the 1940s.

The 11th Annual Loras College Peace and Justice Fair Trade Sale

Celebrate and support more than 120 artisan groups from 35 countries around the world through the Loras College Peace and Justice Center Festival Sale. Discover an exquisite collection of handmade gifts, home decor, musical instruments, jewelry and personal accessories. Mysteries of Christmas – Angels Long to Look
7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2, Church of the Nativity, 1225 Alta Vista St.
Loras College presents its annual Mysteries of Christmas concert featuring the Loras College Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble, Chamber Singers, Bella Voce, and a special guest choir. Come hear carols old and new and readings that explore the glories and mysteries of the season. Tickets available at

L.O.R.A.S. Radio: The Sounds of Christmas!
7:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, St. Joseph Auditorium
The Guild of St. Genesius and the Loras Jazz Ensemble recreate an old-time “live” radio broadcast from the 1940s. Enjoy your favorite classic Christmas stories including “The Night Before Christmas,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” and “A Christmas Carol.” Visit for more information.
