After 34 years, the curtain will finally close on Doug Donald’s career at Loras College.
For the past 18 years, Donald has been the director of theater on campus and has been just the third director of the Loras Players in its 108 seasons.
On March 22, Donald watched the final performance of Darkness Visible, the final production of the season. It was the 87th production he was involved with and the 38th original script, written by local playwright Gary Arms. Donald has also produced five staff/faculty shows.
Despite stepping down from his role at Loras, Donald has no designs on sitting idle. He plans to continue in theater as both an actor and director. He will also shift more focus onto writing and developing his own scripts.
