Hugger Honored by Loras Students with Fr. John Naumann Award

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College Student Government has presented Darrian Hugger with the 2019 Father John Naumann Award.

The award is given annually to the Loras College employee who, through their work with students, shows effort above and beyond the call of duty and emulates the ideals of Father John Naumann. All nominations are put forward by the students.

Hugger is a security officer at Loras College. He is known across campus for his commitment to helping students to grow both in the classroom and in the community.

The award is named after the late Reverend John Naumann, Ph.D. (’66), a former associate professor of psychology, who worked at Loras from 1975 until his death in 1993.
