Loras College welcomed more than 6,000 alumni, parents and friends back for Homecoming 2017. The wet weather did not dampen the spirit of Duhawks returning to catch up with fellow classmates, faculty members and friends.
The Class of 1967 celebrated their 50th reunion by raising more than $3.3 million dollars over the past three years. Their dedication continues to have an impact on future Loras graduates with the creation of the Class of 1967 Faith and Nation Service Scholarship. Thanks to the more than $765,000 raised for this scholarship, many students will be assisted with financial support.
Our newest members of the alumni family also returned to their alma mater to celebrate their Zero reunion year. The risers were overflowing with members of the Class of 2017 celebrating Homecoming as official alumni.
From liturgy and alumni panels to tours and presidential dinners, Duhawks made Homecoming 2017 a memorable weekend. We are already counting down for our next homecoming.
Mark your calendar for October 12, 13 and 14, 2018. We look forward to seeing you back on campus!
