In 1839 when Bishop Mathias Loras made his way to Dubuque and established what is today, Loras College, little did he know the legacy he was creating. To celebrate this rich history and make a difference in the lives of students, the Loras College Board of Regents announced the inaugural Loras Legacy Ball would be held on May 5. Due to its popularity, in less than a month the ball reached ticket capacity.
This year’s theme is Springtime in Paris and our goal is to help raise money that will assist students through financial aid and scholarships. The black tie optional event will feature live auction experiences to Chicago, California, Texas, Oregon and more. Professional actor, Bob Kaliban, Class of 1955 will return to Dubuque to serve as your emcee. Kaliban’s career ranges from the Broadway stage to radio and television.
Even if you are not attending, you can still have an impact on the life of a student. Consider our Fund a Scholar option and contact Loras College today at 563.588.7170 to learn more. All donations help with student aid. Mark your calendar now for next year’s event on Friday, May 4, 2018.
