LORAS’ RUN FOR THE ROSES WINS BIG! Loras tallied more than $320,000 in support!

Green grass, jersey’s and roses set the tone for the second annual Legacy Ball, “Run for the Roses.” The Kentucky Derby theme was popular with guests as they donned hats, bow ties and brightly colored outfits. In 2017 Loras launched its first ball to raise funds for student aid and programming. The Loras Jazz Combo performed during the social hour and attendees were treated to personal stories from students and alumni.

Last year more than $300,000 was donated and this year’s goal was set even higher. After a year of planning and countless hours of volunteer work by alumni and friends of the college, Loras tallied more than $320,000 in support! Our thanks to Jim (’56) and Marita Theisen, for serving as the Legacy Ball honorary chairs and to the Executive Committee comprised of John Schmidt, Creed Waelchli (‘97), Susan Steele, Jeff Potts (‘82) and Amy (Kemp) Printz (‘08).
