Dr. DiFilippo completed her Ph.D. in Spanish Literature and Culture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Notre Dame and an MA in Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis. Her scholarly research focuses on disability, gender and sexuality in contemporary Spanish literature and film. She enjoys challenging students to question the cultural norms that shape our views of ourselves in relationship to others. Dr. DiFilippo also likes quilting and spending time outdoors with her dog.
